Mercedes Conde

As a family with a long musical tradition, she studied music at the Marshall Academy in Barcelona, ​​a school founded by the composer Enrique Granados and later directed by the pianists Frank Marshall and Alicia de Larrocha. Degree in Humanities from the Pompeu Fabra University and Master in Art History from the University of Barcelona, ​​her professional activity has been developed both in the field of cultural management and in musical journalism, in institutions such as the Cadaqués Orchestra, the Palau de la Música Catalana or the Gran Teatro del Liceo. She is the author of numerous articles on music, in publications such as the magazine Ópera Actual and the Revista Musical Catalana, and she regularly writes hand programs for the seasons and festivals of Spanish music, as well as collaborating in radio, at the station specializing in classical music. Music. She is currently director of the Revista Musical Catalana, a publication published by the Palau de la Música Catalana de Barcelona, ​​headquarters of the Orfeó Català and World Heritage by UNESCO, since 1997, where she also coordinates the cycle of young talents El Primer Palau and the International Competition of Coral Composition of the Orfeó Català.
